Introduction to Smart City Autonomous Driving
Overview
In this program, students will have the opportunity to build their own automated vehicle (AV) in a Smart City stimulation environment. They will present solutions to future Smart City AV implications to demonstrate their critical thinking. Students will also nurture their problem-solving skills and growth mindset in a practical immersive learning environment which is essential for their personal development and future success. FlipRobot Introduction to Smart City Autonomous Driving course is offered to students to learn at home through online live delivery with our certified coaches.

Background on Smart Cities and Autonomous Driving
A smart city is a city that is better able to cope with the demands of an increasingly over-populated, more globalized world. A smart city is highly data-driven which demands world leaders to understand technology such as the Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence, and the myriad of digital technologies now available.
-
This course is an introduction to automated vehicle technology in Smart City setting where students propose design solutions to address possible implications.
-
Students will use our FlipCode program to refine their technological hardware skills in navigating their vehicle to do basic movements through a predetermined route through a Smart City.
-
Students will guide their AV to follow between colour lines through a variable control boarding using FlipCode.
-
Through computational thinking, students will combine ultrasonic and IR sensors with manual program into one for the vehicle to successfully steer around obstacles.
-
Students will complete two challenges focusing on their technical and communication skills in an entrepreneurial environment designed to ignite their critical thinking.
